No mid-life crisis here! Four talented artists from Dexter have banded together to create "Artistica," an artist's co-operative. They are the featured artists at The Side Door Gallery through January 25th. In February the group will be opening their own gallery downtown.
Cherilyn (Braun) Fontana is the 'youngster' of the group and both teaches basket weaving and creates baskets of all sizes and types. She teaches at workshops all over the country.
Jill Love is a fine art and portrait photographer who is known for her work of local scenery and landmarks in the area as well as images from far off travels specializing in black and white and sepia prints.
Pam O'Hara is a local, familiar face and is a potter. She has taught clay to both adults and children, exhibited in galleries, and can be found on State Street during July at the Ann Arbor Art Fair.
Lisa Wandres is a glass mosaic artist creating wall hangings and furniture with her intricate mosaic work as well as a knitter, creating one-of-a-kind scarves. She has sold her work to major hotel chains and cruise ships.
